Open Letter to Leaders

Dear Leader,

You are invited to be a part of a movement in the state of Colorado. God is asking us to lead the state in repentance for our apathy, and for the innocent bloodshed of child sacrifice to the idolatry of abortion, wealth, health, and reputation. God is asking us to be bold people of faith who take Him and His Word seriously. He is asking us to be obedient and faithful to Him and leave the results up to Him. It is always wise to be obedient to God.

The enemy pulls us little by little away from the truth, but that’s not how our Lord works. God’s purposes are not accomplished by following the devil’s playbook. We are to follow God’s playbook laid out for us clearly in Scripture.

Our manmade strategies, cleverness, self-dependence, and trying to fight a spiritual battle with our own strength has gotten us to where we are today. We must, instead, keep ourselves dependent on the leadership of Christ and His Word, speak God’s truth in love, love God foremost, and then love our neighbor as ourselves.

We are to rescue those being led to slaughter. In this holocaust that targets women, silences men, kills children, and tells the church we are irrelevant to lead our culture, we must speak the truth to women, empower men to be the protectors God created men to be, speak as the Body of Christ on behalf of "the least of these", and quite literally rescue these children from slaughter which we can do legally by passing this initiative.

Many pro-lifers have laid the groundwork for years. Many have taught on the humanity of preborn children and the devastation abortion causes women. For those who haven’t yet laid the groundwork, there is still time to pray and work in faith. With each of us taking care to teach, lead, and mobilize those in front of us, we mobilize the state.

This initiative is an opportunity to change the narrative. We must be intentional not to repeat the arguments and lies of the abortion industry and be proactive in speaking the truth that these children and their mothers can be rescued from this current holocaust. There is hope and help for them.

Resisting the temptation to be carried by the current of culture further and further downstream, we have the opportunity to rise to the challenge to take a stand on what is true and right and noble and God-honoring. We can speak life. We can choose to let God replace despair with praise. (Isaiah 61)

Churches and Pregnancy centers are used to catching people at the bottom of the cliff after poor decisions are already made. We have an opportunity to also stand at the top of the cliff and put up a barricade before people fall off.

It is important we pass this fair and good law that will protect all living children from mutilation and death and their mothers from being deceived by an industry we can close! As we do, let's pay attention to the conversations we have along the way. Are our words pointing toward life? (Proverbs 18:21) Are we speaking the truth, or speaking out of speculation and fear? God is not mocked, we will reap what we sow, and we are rewarded when we don't give up.

If we don't stand for life today, then when? We have witnessed with every initiative more votes for life, until now, we need less than 20% more votes for life for a prolife initiative to pass! And this will be the first life initiative on the Colorado ballot since the overturn of Roe in the Dobbs decision! Would you like to be a part of that?

We have a statewide Task Force that has been meeting for more than a year with Regional Teams and churches across the state working to build a wall of protection for these vulnerable children and their mothers. We have more than two thousand volunteers, partnering organizations, and churches from most denominations that have said they want to help. And because it’s God’s Spirit moving, and God’s people responding, God will get the glory!

Will you be a voice for the preborn child? Will you support an initiative that will protect them? Will you be a leader that steps in front of the crowd in defense of these children to make a difference in our laws to protect them? Will you stand on the right side of history? Will you value preborn children like we value them after they are born?

We cannot fight a spiritual battle with worldly weapons. We cannot compromise with evil and expect a Godly result. We need those responsible for shepherding the flock to disciple God's children to obey everything Christ commanded, which includes rescuing these precious children not just in word, but in our actions. We cannot delegate that responsibility to others.

This is not prudential like school choice or whether to raise taxes; this is a moral and spiritual crisis to be addressed by those entrusted to teach. We will each stand alone before God and give an account of what we did or did not do “for the least of these”. And for those who presume to be teachers, we are held to a higher standard before God.

God says if we have just a little bit of faith, we can move a mountain. There is a God in heaven for Whom nothing is impossible. He is still the King of kings and He is still on the throne. And He is calling His Body to be His hands and feet to stop the slaughter of these innocent children and the exploitation of their mothers which will also stop when these abortion clinics are closed!

Here’s a challenge for you: 1. Ask God every day for 30 days what He wants you to do regarding ending abortion in our state. 2. Read in your Bible every day for 30 days and see what God says to you.

What is impossible with man is possible with God. Jesus said, He is the vine, and we are the branches, apart from Him we can do nothing. He encourages us to come to Him, confess our sin and our need of a Savior. We can individually ask Him to come into our life and lead in the decisions we make. That’s a decision for life we never regret. I am the gate. If anyone enters through Me, he will be saved. He will come in and go out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come that they may have life, and have it in all its fullness. - Jesus (1 John 10:9-10) We cannot forfeit these children's lives without a fight. Our team is doing the heavy lifting. We are paying the bills and getting it done. We are inviting you to join us. “Do not call to mind the former things; pay no attention to the things of old. Behold, I am about to do something new; even now it is coming. Do you not see it? (Isaiah 43:18-19)

I pray you will choose life for these children. I pray you will become a part of the new thing God is doing. I pray you will turn your focus away from the problems and onto Christ. I pray you will see this solution right in front of us to change the law. Please don't let your love of money, position, or power cause you to be a stumbling block to others.

Jesus said, "And whoever welcomes a little child like this in My name welcomes Me. But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him to have a large mill stone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. Woe to the world for the causes of sin. These stumbling blocks must come, but woe to the man through whom they come!"

Become a circulator of one petition, and encourage others to do the same. It's only one signature and one vote. You don't have to storm Normandy on D-Day or give a kidney. You just have to speak and write your name. 48,000 more lives are at stake before the next presidential election cycle. Will you choose life for them?
