PASTORS FOR LIFE

Pastors For Life (PFL) is leading the state to put an equal protection amendment into the Colorado Constitution to protect all children. PFL's foundation is the written Word of God with reliance on the Holy Spirit as pastors call for repentance, share the gospel, call our state to prayer and action, and put forward a just law that doesn't allow any child to be killed, appealing to fellow pastors to lead congregations to end the holocaust. Pastors of any denomination in any capacity (lead, assistant, youth, worship, elder, missions) are invited the 2nd Thursday of the month at 11 am to share encouragement and ideas for leading congregations on the life issue.

Dr. Jimmy Alexander

Dr. Jimmy Alexander, evangelist and founder of Alexander Ministries International, Inc.. has pastored several churches in the United States and helped to establish more than 60 churches worldwide, as well as missions and Bible schools throughout the world on four continents since 1971. Jimmy holds a Doctorate in Theology, a professional designation of Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow, has served on an advisory board to a U.S. Congressman for several years, and was on an Advisory Council to the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies Insurance Division in Colorado. God has given him the gift of healing and he's been able to participate in the healing of numerous individuals including many individuals being raised from the dead.

Dr. Scott T Bottoms

Dr. Scott T. Bottoms is the Representative for CO House District 15 located in El Paso County, serving in his second term. He is also the Lead Pastor of Church at Briargate in Colorado Springs, where he has served for almost thirteen years. Before serving in Colorado Springs, Dr. Bottoms served in Strasburg, CO and Rocky Ford, CO. During that time, Dr. Bottoms earned his Bachelor of Arts in Church Ministries from Southwestern Assemblies of God University in 2002, then in 2006 earned his Master of Arts in Urban and Intercultural Ministries. In 2011, Dr. Bottoms finished his Doctorate of Ministry in Intercultural Spiritual Leadership.

Dr. Bottoms is a veteran having served eight years in the United States Navy. He has served on executive boards with the Assemblies of God, Nelson University, and Strong Cross Ministries, serving as the chair for Sarah’s Home.

Dr. Bottoms has been married to Linda for 34 years, and together they have three children, two daughters-in-law and three grandchildren.

Dr. Sean Cole

Sean Cole is the lead pastor at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Sterling, Colorado. He has a doctor of ministry in expository preaching from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is also an adjunct instructor of Old and New Testament and Biblical Interpretation at Colorado Christian University. He hosts a podcast called "Understanding Christianity." His wife is Dawn, and they have two boys, Aidan and Zachary.

Pastor Mark Landess

Pastor Mark moved to Colorado Springs with his wife Lori in 1983 to become the church's associate pastor. After the close of the previous pastor’s ministry, Mark was asked to be the church pastor. His ministry at the church is characterized by a commitment to expositional teaching and preaching. After years of supporting “pro-life” ministries, Pastor Mark and associate pastor Chris Gaona realized some of the “pro-life” ministries were not that “pro-life.” God sovereignly crossed their paths with Colorado Life Initiative and Got-A-Heart Ministries. In 2024, Pastor Mark was asked by Faye Barnhart to become part of the Pastor’s for Life team to assist with Biblical direction.

Chris Gaona

Pastor Chris and his wife, Christa have been a part of Nor’wood Bible Church since October of 1999. They have served the church in varying capacities as lay ministers, until January 2020, when Pastor Chris came on staff as an Associate Pastor. Through the challenges and lessons learned by going through COVID in 2020, God brought about a passion for seeing all of life under the authority of Christ, prompting a desire to be more engaged in the community and culture. By God’s sovereign hand, He brought about a connection with the Colorado Life Initiative, and as a result, Pastor Chris’s involvement in Pastor’s for Life.

Phil Steiger

Phil Steiger and his wife Heather are both natives of Colorado and have been married for 31 years. Phil has been the Senior Pastor of Living Hope Church for 20 years and has loved the opportunity to minister in the community he and Heather have called home all their lives. Phil has a B.A. in Economics from CU Colorado Springs, and an M.A. in Philosophy of Religion from Denver Seminary. Phil and Heather have three wonderful dogs and almost more nieces and nephews (biological and spiritual) than they can count.

Faye Barnhart, LAS

Faye Barnhart is a Life Affirming Specialist, Co-Founder of Pastors For Life, and Co-Proponent of the Colorado Life Initiative. She was a women’s advocate for 19 years, served four pregnancy care centers in two states, including CEO of the largest pregnancy care center in the United States geographically which she was able to grow from a struggling ministry about to close its doors to five locations covering six counties and converting it to a medical clinic. A prelaw student who interned at the state Capitol and in media, she graduated with honors with post graduate work in Organizational Leadership and pursued a career in Communications for international ministries. She began in the prolife cause in the 1980’s, raised her children as a single parent, and is now married with an adopted special needs son and enjoys each of her grandchildren, including a grandbaby who needed life-saving surgery at birth. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior and Lord as a small child in the church where her late father pastored.
